Oh What to Blog About
So I realized yesterday that this blogging thing isn't going to be easy. I mean, coming up with something original everyday to write about. I can see why some people specialize their blogs to specific topics. I don't think that I can do that I just have too may interests. The best use of this for me will be to just put down what I've been doing and anything funny that happens along the because I have a terrible memory. I blame it on too many knocks on the head. 1 car crash and 2 concusions from playing hockey. Now I try to protect my melon, how many more whacks can it take?
So my weekend was extremely relaxing. Friday I went out to Midland to Aviage Salon to get my hair did. I am now the darkest shade of brown my hair has ever been and I really like it, plus I got one of the best hair cuts I've had in years. Will I go back? Hecks yeah! That evening the husband played poker and actually won the tourny while I just stayed home and chilled. I met up with him before the tourney for some dinner which turned out to be fun. We went to Olive Garden and some of the guys he works with went. We had finished our dinner when in comes the new student from their department on a double date. Now this student is only 19, so what do that guys do. Hide and then send him a Shirley Temple. They thought it was hilarious. After I dropped the husband off I went to Old Navy just to see what they got coming in for spring and it was a big yawn. Lots of bikinis/shorts/tanks and it was 11 degrees out. So I headed home and caught up on some TV. I watched Desperate Housewives, The OC and The L Word. I'll admit it, The L Word made me cry. Dana and the breast cancer. I'm really happy to see them go with this story line.
Saturday I woke up with great plans of going to the gym but I started watching Olympic Hockey and the next thing I knew I napped pretty muxh through the gym hours. Whoops. So the day was spent on the couch until we decided to hit Mr. Gs for some delicious pizza. They still don't have a liquor license butwe realized this does gives the under 21 crowd a place to go. Next we headed over to The Big House to meet up with some friends. Had some captain and diets and good conversation plus got the see new LL Cool J video (man, he is still hot) and heard a song to use for hip hop next year. Ompa Loopas by the Broadstreet Boys, I think. I still have to find the song but it would be terrific for the 5-7 year old hip hop class. Finding music for all my classes is hard, even radio edits don't always cut it. Back to Saturday night, next we headed over to OCH to see some GLGA members. (I'm going to dedicate my next post to defining the GLGA). Another captain and diet, then just a diet and called it a night. The GLGA Prez was in fine form that evening too.
Sunday we got up to watch the US men play hockey and well they lost. Boo. Then the Daytona 500 hundred was on and I took a terrific nap. I finally after dinner decided to hit the shower with a plan to go grocery shopping when we got a call from the GLGA. A meeting was taking place at River Rock. So we decided to head over there, once we got there, they decided to move it over to B Dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings). Finally had the beer the should of went with the pizza the night before. Hung out and watched the NBA Allstar game before calling it a night about 10:30.
All in all a good weekend. The week has started out well too. Went to the gym yesterday, then work, and then dance. We have the 5-7 year old hip hop almost done. Yeah! The 11-13 is getting pretty close too. In teachers class we learned more of the Jazz which is to 'Dream On' by Aerosmith. The dance is awesome but I'm not having an easy time of it yet, I need to practice and I have to work on this tuck cross jump from a back arch position flipping over to a front split. I have no vertical jump which I need to have to do this jump well. Need to practice.
Still too early to call for today. We did make the gym again today...
Oh and the US Women hockey team won Bronze yesterday. I'm still dissapointed they lost to Sweden last Friday but overall that loss is good for the sport showing that there are more then 2 teams that can compete at the Olympic level. Canadian Women won the gold.
