Yeah for Endorphins
I'm happy it's Thursday, that means Friday is in my sights now and I don't even have any plans for the weekend yet. This week just feels long. Work has been busy. Dance was a much needed break last night but my workout class afterwords was just so good. The format is a cardio-kick class with some weights in there and in that class I have a set of 5 lb and 8 lb dumbbells that I use which is really light considering at the gym I seldom pick up anything under 10 lbs. We start with a nice warm up to get everyone moving. Me, I had just finished teaching a tap class where I had reviewed everything we learned since class started in September so I was really warmed up. So we do a lot of jumping jacks, some kick boxing and then we did the dreaded 1 legged bouncing kicks. I'm a dancer and I hate these more then anything. Finally weights, in which last night we did a good overall body workout along with some squats and then finished on the floor with some bicycles for the abs. Everything from the whole week just came out with the sweat. For people who don't work out but have stressful jobs, I definitely can see why they talk about their stress so much. You gotta have an outlet for it. For me, it's dance and working out.
I think Elle Woods said it best "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy."
