I had to look up the great cookie recipe. This was easier then going through all the old magazines trying to find it, which means the magazines just need to be put in the recycle bin because I'm not going to ever use them. I know me and these magazines are for cooks who like searching out odd ingredients. Basically, if a recipe has more then 5 ingredients, I'm out. Too much to do. If I have to use multiple bowls and pans, forget it. I like at the most 2 pans.
Though I have gotten more creative. One of the local restaurants make a dish called 'Chicken Pesto Pasta' and it is delicious. The name pretty much describes it perfectly, though to be even more accurate we could call it 'Chicken Pesto Mushroom Onion Pasta' but that is a bit wordy. Though notice, that is 5 ingredients, plus a little olive oil to grill up all the good stuff but I don't count that. So you grill up the good stuff, boil some pasta (yes, this uses 2 pans). Drain pasta and mix everything together in the pasta pan and woozers. The stuff is as good, if not better then the local fare and I make enough for 2 whole meals for us at probably around $10 total. The restaurant, its like $11.95 a piece. Yeah, I don't know who I am any more, I cook and I tell people how it saves me money. Ahhhh, serenity now.
